Attendance Awards

So far this year, our whole school attendance to date is 97%, which so far is above our goal of 96.2%. Thank-you for continuing to support us by not taking term-time holidays. Congratulations, to the large number of children (207) who achieved 100% attendance last term.

Holocaust Memorial Event – Torn from Home (More details to follow)

I am delighted to be able to inform you that on the Friday 25th of January, our school will be co-hosting with Woodside primary, an event to mark the atrocities of the holocaust. Entitled ‘Torn from Home’ the evening uses a mixture of song, drama and stories to rein-act the terrible suffering that took place during this period in time. Taking place at Thameside theatre, the evening will see contributions from a number of Thurrock schools and BCA is proud to be taking a leading part.

New Reception Playground

Our new Reception playground, which was completed over the Christmas period and funded by the PE and School Sport grant, looks fabulous. We are planning to have an official opening later this month but so as not to leave it unused between now and then we are letting the children use it. It was so good to see how excited they were on the first day back. This improvement has been a long time coming.
