♦Parents, volunteers and visitors to our school must sign in as a visitor and collect a badge before being allowed into school. Please also remember to sign out when you leave.

♦Child Protection

We want to ensure the health, safety and welfare of every child in our school at all times. If you have any concerns regarding a child’s health, safety and welfare, please report the matter immediately to the Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher who are the designated persons for Child Protection.Health and Safety

Any hazards detected should be reported immediately to the Bursar / Office Manager, in the case of serious concerns these should be reported immediately to the Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher.

♦ Fire

Please familiarise yourself with our procedure to be adopted in the case of a faire which is displayed in every room. On hearing the fire alarm you should immediately evacuate the building and proceed to the assembly point on the playground or the school car park.Thank you for reading this information and helping us to safeguard the children in our school. FIRE AND EMERGENCY EVACUATION PROCEDURE

  1. WHEN THE FIRE BELL RINGS IMMEDIATELY LINE UP ALL THE CHILDREN AT THE DOOR OF THE CLASSROOM. CHECK THE TOILET AND STORAGE AREAS FOR ANY CHILDREN BEFORE LEAVING THE CLASSROOM, A QUICK GLANCE TO THE DIRECTION OF YOUR INTENDED ESCAPE ROUTE TO ENSURE IT IS NOT BLOCKED BY FIRE OR SMOKE. THIS WILL ALLOW THOUGHT TO AN ALTERNATIVE ESCAPE ROUTE SHOULD IT BE NECESSARY.

    DO NOT STOP TO COLLECT PERSONAL BELONGINGS

  2. WHEN DECIDED UPON YOUR ESCAPE ROUTE IN A QUIET AND ORDERLY FASHION, LEAD THE CHILDEN FROM THE BUILDING TO THE DESIGNATED PLAYGROUND AND LINE THEM UP.
  3. ONCETHECHILDRENAREASSEMBLEDTHECLASSREGISTERMUST BE OBTAINED FROM THE MEMBER OF THE OFFICE STAFF WHO IS DEEMED TO BE “THE RESPONSIBLE PERSON”.

A VISUAL AND VERBAL CHECK OF ALL CHILDREN AND STAFF MUST BE COMPLETED TO ENSURE EVERYONE IS PRESENT

4. STANDWITHYOURCHILDRENANDCLASSPERSONNELINAQUIET AND ORDERLY FASHION UNTIL YOU RECEIVE FURTHER INSTRUCTION(S) FROM THE HEADTEACHER OR “PERSON IN CHARGE”.

5. ATTHETIMETHEFIREBELLRINGSTHEHEADTEACHEROR“PERSON IN CHARGE”, TOGETHER WITH OFFICE STAFF, WILL COLLECT ALL ATTENDANCE REGISTERS, STAFF ATTENDANCE AND DAILY VISITORS RECORDS FROM THE OFFICE AREA AND TAKE THEM TO THE FIRE ASSEMBLY POINT.

CLASSROOM REGISTERS WILL BE HANDED TO APPROPRIATE TEACHERS TO ENSURE EVERYONE IS PRESENT. A MEMBER OF THE OFFICE STAFF WILL COMPLETE A VISUAL AND VERBAL CHECK FROM THE STAFF ATTENDANCE AND VISITORS RECORDS TO ENSURE EVERYONE IS PRESENT

THE HEADTEACHER OR “PERSON IN CHARGE” WILL APPROACH EVERY TEACHER TO ENSURE THAT ALL CHILDREN, STAFF AND VISITORS ARE PRESENT. WHEN EVERYONE IS ACCOUNTED FOR THE HEADTEACHER OR “PERSON IN CHARGE” WILL DISMISS ALL CLASSES, PERSONNEL AND VISITORS FROM THE AREA OF THE ASSEMBLY POINT.

NOBODY MUST LEAVE THE AREA UNTIL TOLD TO DO SO
