Mother’s Day Celebration – March 28th

This year’s Mother’s Day celebration event was another resounding success, with over 450 mums in attendance, even more than last year! It was encouraging to hear all the positive comments from parents who attended and we have taken on board your suggestions how we could improve things for both next year and Father’s Day. A big thank you to all the staff who helped out on the day ensuring that everything ran smoothly.

STEM Workshop–22nd March

On March 22nd a group of our children had the exciting opportunity of working on a STEM project run by the organisation ‘Primary Engineer’. This is an initiative Sponsored by Fords and using their own engineers to deliver STEM workshop to primary age children. The day was brilliant. All the children learnt some new designing and making skills. Mrs Harvey and Mrs Rayatt, who organised the day, will now be looking to get STEM type activities introduced throughout the school.

BCA Gymnasts became Essex Champions!

After many years of reaching the County Finals only to come away disappointed with a fifth or even lower place, this year was a complete contrast with the girls coming away with the ‘Gold’ medal. Mrs Williams, Ms Willmott and myself were incredibly proud of all the girls who performed brilliantly on the day in both their floor and vault routines. Thank you to the parents who came along to support on the day and who were able to share this lovely moment in history.

BCA Athletes also become Essex Champions

Three days after the gymnasts become Essex Champions, our athletics team followed suit, coming 1st at the County finals, this time at the Indoor Championship. I feel very privileged to have been there and to have seen first-hand the brilliant performances on the part of our children with many coming first in their event. On the day BCA were nearly 150 points ahead of their nearest rival, simply incredible.
